Special Tribute to our friend Col. David Baize

PRI pays special tribute to former Reserve World Champion and Honorary World Champion Auto Auctioneer, David Baize.

PRI founder Brian Rigby recalls when David began his Auction Career working as a Ringman in the early 1980's. David began to learn his chosen trade by serving as a Ringman at several Auto Auctions, learning from the Auctioneers, and selling re-runs when the opportunity was offered.

David worked very hard over the years to rise to the top of this profession and he was well respected by all who knew him. David and I drove together and sold at the Kansas City Auto Auction for several years until his untimely death in 1997.

David believed strongly in the mission of the Professional Ringmen's Institute and served as instructor for many terms. He has been missed by all who knew and worked with him; his professionalism, numerous contributions to our industry, and memory will always be a part of PRI.
