PRI Welcomes Champion Auctioneer and accomplished Ringman, Russ Moravec

Russ graduated from Western College of Auctioneering in Billings, MT. in 1981.  Shortly after auction school he obtained his real estate license and began his auction career conducting real estate and personal property auctions with Grubaugh Bros. Auctioneers in David City, NE.  He soon started selling at a weekly livestock market in Wahoo in 1982, and in 1984 was hired as an auctioneer and fieldman for the Columbus Sales Pavilion  in Columbus, NE., where  he continues  to sell  feeder cattle in auctions on Saturdays.

Russ was hired as a ringman at Manheim's Omaha Auto Auction in 1991, and moved to auctioneer there in 1992. He has sold General Motors and Ford factory sales in Louisville, KY. and Albuquere, NM. and continues to sell GM in Omaha. He worked as an auctioneer at the Denver Auto Auction from 1997 until March of 2008 when he accepted an auctioneer position with the closer Lincoln Auto Auction in Lincoln, NE.

Russ was named the 1986 Nebraska State Champion Auctioneer.  He has also been a finalist in the LMA World Livestock Auctioneers Contest, and has been a finalist several times in the IAC contest placing runner-up in 1991,92, and 93.

He and his wife Diane live near David City, NE. They have 3 grown sons, all of whom are full time auctioneers. They own and operate Moravec Auction Co. LLC and specialize in Real Estate, Benefit, and Personal Property auctions.
